Every child deserves family.

In Oklahoma, thousands of children experience foster care each year, often because families are facing challenges connected to poverty, crisis, abuse, neglect, mental health, or substance abuse.

Children and families need more than a system. They need community.

When people step in before, during, and after foster care, families grow stronger, reunification becomes more possible, and children experience hope, healing, and restoration.

We are an Oklahoma-based non-profit organization that believes the church is central to the solution for children and families in crisis.

Our focus is on foster care prevention, foster family recruitment, and family support.

Working in all 77 counties of Oklahoma, we bridge the gap between government, non-profits, foster care agencies, and churches to see that every child has family.

We work alongside churches, foster care agencies, non-profits, schools, volunteers, and DHS to care for children and families before, during, and after foster care.

Through foster family recruitment, church engagement, and community mobilization, we are striving towards a future where families are waiting to help children, rather than children waiting on families.

We manage the CarePortal platform in Oklahoma, which connects people with resources to those in need of help. This includes vetted requests for assistance from DHS, other agencies, and schools.

We provide education, support, and resources to help churches engage in the child welfare space, both relationally and by meeting physical needs.

We partner with foster agencies to recruit and support foster families.

We partner with other non-profits to engage our network of churches in caring for those facing domestic violence, homelessness, and other challenges.

Through weekly community gatherings, we bring local communities together for collaboration, education, support, and advocacy.

How to partner with us:

Why are we called 111Project?

Since 2011, 111Project has worked to advocate for enough foster families in every Oklahoma community. The idea of 1 church for 1 family for 1 purpose changes everything. Since our founding, we have been passionate about helping the church recruit and support foster families.  Since adding CarePortal in 2015, churches have had an additional pathway to serve local families in partnership with child-serving agencies.

Think of 111Project as the “who” behind the “what”. We manage CarePortal for the state of Oklahoma. Over the last 10 years, 111Project has built a network of care that works daily to see resources come to families instead of families having to find resources. Our network provides support during times of crisis while also helping families achieve case plan goals through partnerships with trusted professional agencies.

111Project exists to see that every child in Oklahoma has family. CarePortal allows everyone to do something, making it one of our primary tools for collaboration and collective impact.
